2) I've started a new blog and it's really coming along well. It's about How to Make Money Online. Specifically, through blogging. It's really quite easy and I've tried to setup the blog in 'step-by-step' guide. There are other "make money online" blogs but most of them are at a 'higher' level. Check it out if you're curious about making some extra money on your free time.

I'm in the process of starting a new blog based a great book that I read about a year ago about Investing in the stock market. I won't give the name of the blog out yet as it's definitely not ready, but when it is I'll let everyone here know first.

The site is based on the book named Rule #1: The Simple Strategy for Successful Investing in Only 15 Minutes a Week!. Written by Phil Town. Mr. Town is able to convey the necessary information to enable everyone (who has a little bit of time to learn) how to get a 15% return on all your investments. The method is fairly simple. Find a terrific company that is currently "on sale" in the stock market. Buy the company. Wait for the increase (because it's a great company). Sell. Repeat.

Sound too simple to be true? That's what I thought. However, after taking two full reads through the book I've determined that it's very very possible. My website will chronicle my paths as I become a Rule #1 investor. I'm starting brand new in terms of the stock market and the rule #1 investing. So it should be interesting to chronicle my travels as I invest $1000 to start.

Isn't it awesome that the NFL is back?   NFL pre-season is soooo bad but the regular season is soooo good.   Last week I got 9 picks right..  Let's see how I do this week.  It seemed like a really tough week with lots of big spreads and good games.

In other sports news the NHL is almost back!  Training camps are starting and the pre-season games actually start on Sunday here in Calgary.   I'm always amazed at how much people are willing to pay for a pre-season game.  It seems like they should be one of those games where you just have to bring an item for the food bank.  Or $10 and an item for the food bank.  No.  IN calgary ticket prices are almost the same as normal prices!   Crazy.
