I'm not a pharmacist, government worker or even associated with Air Miles, I'm just a person who loves to collect air miles FAST. So I'm not entirely sure how this all works but I do know this....

You CAN still collect Air Miles on prescriptions at your Pharmacy. You now only collect on the portion paid by yourself or your 3rd party insurance provider but you'll get 7X the base air miles on that purchase!

Safeway Pharmacy
At Safeway pharmacies you'll collect 7X the BASE airmiles. Base Air mile at Safeway stores is 1 for every $20 you spend. Therefore, this works out to approximately 1 airmiles for every $2.85. However, you need to spend in multiples of $20 to collect the air miles.

Jean Coutu Stores
At Jean Coutu stores you'll get 2 airmiles per prescription you're filling.

Rexall Stores
At Rexall stores you'll collect 1 Air Miles for every $10 you spend, however, this is NOT counted at the Pharmacy!!!
The fine print states: excludes prescriptions, products that contain codeine, lottery, postal services, stamps, transit tickets, gift card express cards and taxes. Only valid in Ontario, not including Thunder Bay.

Am I missing any other Pharmacies that you can collect air miles reward miles? If so, let me know in the comments below.

Second, I just found this coupon for 5 times the air miles Reward Miles when you spend over $60 in groceries. This should be fairly simple when you combine it with your weeks best airmiles deals! Remember, the 5-times is on the base airmiles and not the bonus airmiles.

Also, there is a 25 bonus airmiles coupon when you purchase a Blood Glucose Test Strips 100's-102's. This is above the usual 7X airmiles that you get from the pharmacy!

It used to be 10 times the airmiles with a coupon but they changed it last year to be 7 times all the time.  This can be a REALLY easy and fast way to collect airmiles.  Think about redeeming your perscriptions at Safeway next time.
