Get Your American Express Airmiles Credit Card Now!
As most of you know the Gold Mosaik Mastercard Credit Card is almost gone. This was that great credit card which was linked to Westjet. Anyway, the credit card's not really gone, however, the terms and conditions have changed. With these new changes it's definitely not worth paying the yearly fee.
What are some of the alternatives?
Have you looked at the American Express option? The card I really like is the American Express Airmiles Credit Card. I like this card because it's the only No fee Credit Card where you can collect one airmile for every $20 you spend. Plus, when you sign-up now you'll get 100 bonus airmiles reward miles.
I know that some people also like the new american express credit card. However, with that one you only collect at 1 airmile for every $15 you spend and you have a yearly fee. I agree that collecting at a faster rate is definitely worth doing. However, when you follow the weeks best airmiles deals then you'll be collecting at a much faster rate already. Apply for the American Express® AIR MILES®* Platinum Credit Card
The point of this post is that you should really re-think which card you're using if you have the Gold Mosaik Mastercard. Consider the free american express airmiles credit card as a good alternative.

Where I am…
I use an Amex Platinum Credit Card not the Charge Card.
Here the charge card’s subscription is $1200pa, the normal Platinum Credit Card is $300pa and the Platinum Reserve Charge Card is $500pa.
I use the normal Platinum Credit Card and the airmiles I get is calculated thus:
Double Membership Points (MR) for Life
So every US$ 1 I spend gives me 2 MR
At Amex Selects Merchants I get 5 MR for every US$ 1 spent
At Amex Platinum Partners I get 10 MR for every US$ 1 spent.
Conversion from MR to Airmiles is
8 MR = 5 Airmiles
So 2 MR = 1.25 Airmiles (Normal Spending)
5 MR = 3.125 Airmiles (Amex Selects Merchants)
10 MR = 6,25 Airmiles (Amex Platinum Partners)
For Amex Platinum Reserve Members (Bonus time now to a maximum spend of $4000, will get 10 MR + 10MR at Platinum Partners)
So 20 MR = 13 Airmiles (Amex Platinum Partners with Amex Platinum Reserve Card)
Fantastic deal all year round! ![]()

I have both cards right now. The problem I find with the Amex card is that is not as accepted as easily as Mastercard. One retailer told me it’s because Amex charges them a larger fee.
