Don't like saving up for a flight with your airmiles points? How about using your airmiles for a small little gift or reward. Here are a few airmiles deals worth considering.

Jean Coutu - Spend 160 airmiles and get a $20 giftcard. This is a pretty good deal and inline with most gift certificate offers.

DVD's - Most DVD's at the airmiles stores cost around 280 airmiles. This works out to a fairly bad deal. The better way to go is to simply order a chapters.indigo.ca gift card. These gift cards cost 185 airmiles and you get $25 towards Chapter, Indigo or Coles.

Cinneplex Movie Night Out - 175 airmiles and you get 2 free admissions, 2 regular sodas and 1 regular popcorn. This is actually quite a good deal considering that most movies are $12. This works out to an approximate value of $30 for 175 airmiles!

Magazine or Paper Subscription - Calgary Sun, Edmonton Sun, LouLou, Chatelaine, etc... From 65 airmiles up to 265 airmiles.

Charity Donations - Donate $20 to either Special Olympics or Kids Help Phone charity for 170 airmiles.

Sorry this isn’t a place where you can actually ‘do business with’. I run the site as an informational tool for people who collect airmiles. This site has no relation to the airmiles program. If you do need to talk to them then airmiles.ca or 1800airmiles is where you would contact them.

Hi Bill,

You simply have to call the airmiles program directly at 1800airmiles or go to the website at airmiles.ca. You can then login and purchase the gift card.

The Airmiles website should give details how to use airmiles. It does not say anything where and how we can spend these airmiles collected other than air travel. Can you let me know please. Thanks.

Hi Shahjahan,

You can spend your airmiles on the airmiles website by simply logging into your airmiles account and ‘buying’ the items with your points. You can also call 1800airmiles to make the purchase as well.

I’ll be making a detailed post about this in the near future.

Hi,
I need help!
Usually I went on line to redeem airmiles.
I visited the airmiles site and I could buy gift cards with my airmiles. Ex:let’s say I wanted a HBC card for x amount of money – I could exchange x amount of airmiles and in a few weeks I received through the mail the said card. Now I can’t seem to find the said site. I need help. . .
Please answer as to how I can achieve this, as soon as possible. Thank you.
