Weeks Best Airmiles Deals - Till March 22th, 08
Here are the weeks best airmiles deals. The deals this week are only 'so-so' and this is fairly typical around easter. As everyone will be shopping this week (and weekend) regardless of the sales.   Hope everyone has a great easter!
Mini Griller Sausages ($2.99) - Buy 2 get 15 airmiles, airmiles-to-dollar ratio $0.40.
Pillsbury Country Biscuits ($2.50) - Buy 4 get 30 airmiles, airmiles-to-dollar ratio $0.33.
Herbal Essences Haircare ($3.00) - Buy 6 get 40 airmiles, airmiles-to-dollar ratio $0.45.
Kellogg's All Bran Cereal Bars ($2.50) - Buy 5 get 30 airmiles, airmiles-to-dollar ratio $0.42.
Also, Safeway is having a one day airmiles prescription bonus day on Thursday. You can get 10 times the airmiles when filling a prescription.

Never mind, I found it on the safeway.ca site…. And my wife was kind enough to tell me that the prescription was actually $2600, so yeah, she is going back to see what they can do for her.
How often do these occur? She needs this prescription filled every two weeks for the next 12 weeks.
They agreed to refund the prescription to pick up tomorrow (we don’t need to use it until Friday night), so we get 1300 airmiles instead of 130. They also informed us that starting next week they will be switching to the 7x airmiles all the time instead of the occasional 10x, so that works out great for us. At the end of my wife’s treatments we will be able to get away somewhere nice with the kids. 1300 + 910 x 6 = 6760 airmiles. We are gold collectors and I have the gold BMO airmiles mastercard, so I will need to figure out the best way to book a trip to take advantage of all the “discounts” in airmiles that I should be entitled to… I guess I should read more of the articles on your site.
That’s great to hear they refunded your money…. that’s a huge airmiles difference! That’s neat to hear they’re switching to 7X always instead of 10X sometimes! Hopefully that comes through for you and you’ll collect all 6,000+ airmiles.
My suggestion on a flight is if you have the BMO gold card then take a flight somewhere WestJetflies in continental NA. You’ll only spend 1,600 airmiles (per flight) and you can go to Florida, Arizona, Phoenix, LA, Vegas, etc… just my 2 cents.
That is the plan, a couple of flights within NA on westjet (I do have a BMO Gold card). Was thinking of maybe a couple of Gift Cards as well, but not sure how those fair out in comparison.
Also, there were signs up today, at least in Calgary it is 7X airmiles on prescriptions all the time. Not sure about elsewhere.
How does the 10x airmiles at the pharmacy work? Do I need a coupon? I thought the coupon previously posted ended on the 15th.
