Customer Appreciation Day

Just a quick reminder that Tuesday July 3rd is customer appreciation day at Safeway.

Remember customer appreciation day occurs the first tuesday of every month at safeway. You have the choice of either 10X airmiles or 10% off your groceries for purchases over $35. I'm a big advocate of the 10% off your groceries. Why you may ask?

1661481_1.jpgWell, we can collect airmiles at approximately $0.35 per airmiles. So if we spend $40 (as an example) then we'd get 2 base airmiles ($20=1 airmile). Then we'd get a total of 20 airmiles for $40. This works out to $2 per airmile which is almost $1.50 more then we'd normally pay for an airmile. So I'd rather save the $4.00 in this case (which could work out to 11 airmiles).

I realize that i've discussed this before. However, saving money so that you can spend your money on something else useful (like a Westjet flight, Hotel in Vegas or a Gifts for her or even a Gifts for him) is never repetitive.

Would u get 10x airmiles on bonus point items? say u get a 30 point product would u get 300 there?

No sorry. You only get the 10X airmiles on your BASE airmiles..

Does anyone know when the 10 times pharmacy airmiles specials occur. Not just first Tuesday of every month but they also have them during the month and would be nice to know the other dates ahead of time.
